[Review] CocoaPink's 'Blueberry Salt Water Taffy' perfume

Blueberry Salt Water Taffy is described as Smells just like New Jersey salt water taffy. Sweet blueberries and creamy taffy. It was offered as part of their Black Friday event, though it has now been discontinued for low sales. When offered, it was available in every format the company offers - EdP, perfume oil, body scrub, lotion, etc. I got it in 2019 and let it rest for several months before trying it out. Unfortunately, this scent does not smell good on me. This has been going back and forth between a neutral salty smell and rancid blueberries. I can see that it probably does smell as intended but is not mixing well with my skin chemistry.


Longevity: 6+ hours

Thoughts

I bought this during my "gotta catch 'em all" phase while I was trying to find the perfect blueberry gourmand scent. I love candy scents (and blueberries, obviously), so the thought of this was appealing to me. Unfortunately, I won't be keeping Blueberry Salt Water Taffy since it smelled so unpleasant, though I am pretty impressed with the wear time. CocoaPink as a company is always wonderful, so this one perfume makes me feel no different about them as a whole - I have had tons of other hits, so it's okay that this is not one of them!

I also loved how this photo came out, which is why I decided that this tiny sample deserved its own post. Too bad it's no longer available, but maybe someone (like me) will be willing to get rid of it if it sounds good to you!
