[Swatch] Sparrow Cosmetics' highlighter in 'Can't Pin Me Down'

'Can't Pin Me Down' is described as an intense violet highlight. Another one of our ambassadors favorite highlights. This highlight will look best on pale to medium skintones. It's one of those shades that is mostly colorless until the light hits it, which is why I applied so much in this swatch. I find this to definitely be on the intense side, though it is most noticeable in indirect light (see below). That said, it's not so bright that it's hard to wear in "normal" life.

Thoughts

It's beautiful and totally fun if you like colored highlighters like I do! I am sharing the swatch now because Sparrow Cosmetics will be closing on December 5, 2020, and I wanted to put this out before the shop is gone for good. I have not worn this highlighter nearly enough but plan to enjoy using it as part of my everyday winter makeup.

This shade is named after a song of the same name by Marina and the Diamonds. I listened to the song for the first time in order to write this, and I totally see the inspiration. Not only is Marina a badass who would totally rock something like this, but the album cover shows her lit with multicolored lights. Very fun. I'm glad to have this and would recommend trying it (or something similar) for anyone who wants a purple glow. I know Kaleidos Makeup, Black Moon Cosmetics, Terra Moons Cosmetics, Apocalyptic Beauty Cosmetics, and Notoriously Morbid are a few shops that should have something similar. I'm glad I have this and can't wait to use it more!
