🖤 Lovesick Lake
(Bright pink and heartbreakingly optimistic; cotton candy served with thick strawberry cheesecake and sour lemon squares on a hot rainy day.)
It smells immediately like a perfect blend of sweet, fresh strawberry and sour lemon with a slight bit of pastry in the background. It stays exactly the same until it fades after just a few hours.
Longevity: 4 hours (new)
After a year of aging, I’m happy to report that this one lasts much longer. It smells like sour lemon and strawberry, with a bit of creaminess, which adds to the lemon/strawberry rather than smelling like its own note. It’s very strong during the first two hours, and I can smell it on my wrists as I’m moving around. It’s noticeable all day but definitely is fading near the end.
Longevity: 8 hours (aged)
🖤 Bloom & Pucker
(Delicate strawberry blossoms, sour lemon candy, strawberry sugar and frosted daiquiri.)
Amazing. Sugary, sweet and sour strawberries, and a little bit of lemon. I knew I smelled it! This smells like the most delectable pie filling or frozen drink or something, and now I want a slush.
Longevity: 4 hours
🖤 Kindling
(Sweet jasmine incense, sunset musk, fresh sativa and strawberry wine.)
Huh, interesting. I would not have guessed most of these notes - it's very sugary strawberry wine, which is hard to distinguish from a slushy drink but is definitely a touch alcoholic and musky. I wouldn't say I got anything else from it but definitely enjoyed the ultra-sweet musky strawberry I did smell.
Longevity: 7.5+ hours
🖤 Laissez-Faire
(Cool coconut cream whipped together with sugared strawberries and maple syrup over cinnamon & pecan crust.)
Sugary strawberry and coconut creme filling with a buttery crust. It fades quite a bit after a few hours, and I wish the strawberry stayed around for longer. Quite nice regardless.
Longevity: 6+ hours
Thoughts
I
have been part of the indie community for a few years now and remember
when Stereoplasm first started to become a recognizable name. They
always intrigued me with their unique style and artistic scents, but I
admit that a lot of the experimental scents didn't really strike my
interest. When they released their strawberry scents last year, I felt
personally called, at last! I decided to make my first purchase because I
love sweet scents and am a sucker for a good theme.
I bought the Stereoplasm ‘I Love Strawberries’
trio (LE) and Lovesick Lake (permanent) in February 2019. These are all
full-size rollerballs (3 mL each). I love the size of these bottles;
they're perfectly compact and sturdy while also feeling like you have
plenty of perfume to last a while.
I had no issues with ordering or receiving my package via untracked international shipping. Everything was wrapped neatly and included several free samples, scent descriptions, and a personal note. No complaints – it was all very cute!
The limited-edition scents are gone for the year but may return next Valentine's Day! There are also tons of places you can find old or discontinued indie scents. Here's one on Facebook and another on Reddit.
Disclaimer
I like to give things plenty of time to rest before I try them. I have so many things I plan to review that the time until I actually do them is… long. I make no promises that all of these things are still available or that the shop is still operating exactly as it was when I purchased. I am sharing my experiences in case it can be helpful in any way, for reference if nothing else.
